Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a Machine Learning (ML)/Natural Language Processing (NLP) Expert to enhance our voice-activated healthcare assistant. You will be responsible for developing and refining our machine learning models, with a particular focus on Urdu language processing and speech-to-text technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bsc in Computer Science

• Proven experience in building and deploying ML/NLP models, particularly for speech-to-text and natural language understanding.

• Expertise in Python and popular ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).

• Experience working with natural language processing in low-resource languages, particularly Urdu.

• Familiarity with speech recognition technologies, language modeling, and conversational AI systems.

• Strong understanding of data preprocessing techniques and tools for large-scale datasets.

• Ability to work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) for model deployment and scaling.

• Passion for leveraging technology to address healthcare challenges in underserved communities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with healthcare data or medical AI applications.

• Background in Urdu language processing, with a focus on regional dialects and healthcare-related terms.

• Prior experience in developing voice-activated applications.

• Knowledge of ethical AI practices, especially in healthcare settings.

What You Will Do:

• ML/NLP Model Development:

  • Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models to convert Urdu speech into text and analyze patient data for diagnostic purposes.

  • Implement and fine-tune NLP algorithms, focusing on understanding and processing Urdu language nuances, dialects, and medical terminology.

  • Develop deep learning models for voice recognition and transcription accuracy.

• Data Handling & Preprocessing:

  • Work with large healthcare-related datasets, including patient records and audio data, to train and test models.

  • Preprocess and clean data to improve the accuracy and performance of the machine learning models.

  • Ensure high-quality data annotation, especially for medical terms and Urdu language intricacies.

• Model Deployment & Optimization:

  • Deploy ML/NLP models within the Awaaz-e-Sehat app to ensure smooth integration with the front-end user experience.

  • Continuously monitor and refine models for performance improvements, including reducing latency and enhancing accuracy.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure efficient deployment and scalability of the models.

• Innovation & Research:

  • Keep up with the latest advancements in machine learning and NLP, especially in low-resource languages like Urdu.

  • Experiment with cutting-edge techniques in speech-to-text, natural language understanding, and AI in healthcare to improve Awaaz-e-Sehat’s capabilities.

  • Collaborate with the research team to evaluate and integrate new algorithms and technologies.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, app developers, and healthcare experts, to ensure alignment between technical and user-facing components.

  • Translate complex technical requirements into understandable solutions for non-technical team members and stakeholders.
